For motor controllers with 100A-250A two units are recommended. Motor controllers with 250A-350A three units are recommended. For example, an EZGO 72V Freedom has a 350A motor controller and requires 3 units in parallel. Most 72V golf carts can fit 3+ units in the battery compartment. For other electric vehicles measure the size of your battery compartment and compare to the length and width of the battery.
