EV Charging with Access Controls

The Emporia EV Charger with ProControl is ideal for multi-family, workplaces, rentals, fleets and other parking situations that require access controls for tenants, employees, guests and other regular drivers. The charger works with all electric vehicles and is rated for both indoor and outdoor installations. The 24ft cable, J1772 connector, and metal parking sign come standard with each unit.

The Driver Experience

Access to each Emporia Charger with ProControl is controlled by the Administrator. Driver’s may scan a sign’s QR code and request access to a charger but the Admin must approve. Once approved, Drivers are able to control the charger using the Emporia Charge app. Admins can also easily invite (pre-approve) drivers when logged into the ProControl platform.

ProControl Platform

The Emporia ProControl platform is a secure, online service that allows administrators to easily add or remove drivers, control access to chargers and download driver or charger data for billing and reconciliation purposes. Admins can also customize invitation instructions, messages and other alerts for each charger.

Works with any EV

The Emporia Smart Home Energy Charger comes with a SAE J1772 connector so it works with all electric cars, including, but not limited to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and Niro, Nissan Leaf, Audi e-Tron, Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lighting, Volkswagen ID.4, and Rivian R1T.

The Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y have proprietary connectors and require a J1772 adapter.
